Practice presentation: Skånes Dansteater + Escarleth Romo Pozo 9 October 2026 As part of Within Practice, Skånes Dansteater and Escarleth Romo Pozo will give a practice presentation.

Skånes Dansteater: We are a group of dancers with and without disabilities who are interested in how we work together, how we work when we are not together, and how these two situations depend on each other.

In this presentation, we will highlight questions of interpretation and translation between bodies, experiences and across forms.

We will describe the foundations of our collaboration.

The presentation sits somewhere between a lecture, a performance and a conversation.

Skånes Dansteater is an institution in motion, with an international dance company based in Malmö.

Its own stages present works by contemporary Swedish and international choreographers.

The repertoire is varied, and accessibility is an important part of its work.

The company also performs at Malmö Opera and on tour.

Work at Skånes Dansteater takes place in close dialogue with art, different communities and people, so that more people can discover the power of contemporary dance.

The artists representing Skånes Dansteater at Within Practice 2026 are: Kit Brown, Madeleine Månsson, Hanna Nussbaumer, and Simone Frederick Scacchetti.

Escarleth Romo Pozo: Practice presentation: "Att förkroppsliga det osynliga -- rörelse, minne och förvandling" In this presentation, I will explore how the body can function as a living portal -- a space where the past, present and future meet.

I will ask questions about how we embody memories, how we allow ourselves to be transformed and let ourselves be guided by the invisible forces that shape us -- both from our inner world and from external reality.

What happens when we treat the body not just as a vessel, but as a site of resistance, resonance and renewal?

The session will blend conversation, movement demonstrations and fragments from my latest choreographic work, LA MALA.

Together, we will delve into the politics of embodiment: How do we witness and become witnessed?

How can performance become a tool for presence, both personal and collective?

Within Practice is Stockholm's dance festival for choreographic practices.

It is a festival that shines a light on dance artists' daily work and artistic practices.
