I Uppsalas gamla akademikvarn, med anor från 1700-talet, ligger sedan 1959 Upplandsmuseet beläget. Här breder sig utställningar om både stadens och länets historia ut över fyra våningar.
De permanenta utställningarna "Tiden i Rummet" och "Vårt Uppsala" berättar om människor som levt i Uppland de senaste 5 000 åren respektive Uppsalas utveckling från medeltid till nutid. Varje år bjuds det även på tillfälliga utställningar med olika inriktningar.
