Metallprägling – Corazón de Milagrito

Corazón de Milagrito (the miracle heart) or Sagrado Corazón (the Sacred Heart) is an iconic symbol in Mexican folk art.

The heart symbolises, among other things, gratitude, hope, love, healing and spiritual miracles, and is often used as a protective amulet or decorative ornament. The heart is often made of metal, wood or ceramics and beautifully decorated.

During the workshop, we will create our own personalised miracle heart. We will work with metal foil, a soft and pliable material, and create different patterns, textures and reliefs using simple tools.

We will work from our own sketches or ready-made templates. Those who wish can also colour their heart.

The workshop is led by Nina Lazaroff.
