Med doft av jasmin
Jasmine is one of the most iconic flowers in the perfume industry, with a rich history stretching from antiquity to the present day.
Two varieties are used in the perfume industry, Jasminum grandiflorum and Jasminum sambac, whose sensual, full-bodied scent has been used to enhance everything from religious ceremonies in India to perfumes in the European perfume industry.
In this lecture, you will learn about the history of jasmine, as well as how it is grown and used in the perfume industry. In collaboration with the world-leading raw material producers Laboratoire Monique Rémy and IFF, we will smell both raw materials and isolated fragrance molecules, alongside a selection of contemporary perfume interpretations from Nordiska Kompaniet.
Victor Langer is an art and perfume historian who has previously lectured at Nationalmuseum, Beckmans designhögskola and Lunds universitet, among others.
